Hunger & Homelessness

Active research on hunger and homelessness issues in our area is conducted by students in this CIP. The project centers on volunteering and assisting at local food banks, churches, and shelters. Students in turn educate the BACS community on problems associated with hunger and homelessness both in the local area and on a global scale. To find out more about how BACS students are applying their learning to the problems of hunger and homelessness.

Elderly Outreach
This Community Improvement Project links students with various elderly housing facilities in the local area, from congregate living, to assisted care, to nursing and rehabilitation facilities. Through visiting, service, and sharing, BACS students offer companionship and support to the seniors and help the various care facilities meet their goals for the residents.
